NATUROPATH IN BENTLEIGH & VIA TELEHEALTH

Naturopathy is a natural approach to healthcare that focuses on supporting the body’s natural healing abilities and promoting overall function, balance, and wellbeing. It recognises that each person is unique and that their health is influenced by various factors including physical, mental, and emotional aspects.

Our senior naturopath Samantha understands the importance of treating the whole person, not just the symptoms or disease. During a consultation, Samantha will take the time to understand your individual health concerns and seek to identify the underlying causes. By addressing the root cause, rather than merely alleviating symptoms, aiming to support your body’s innate ability to heal itself.

Naturopathic treatment may include a combination of lifestyle and dietary advice, essential nutritional supplementation, ayurvedic treatments, homeopathy, and individual herbal prescriptions. These natural therapies are chosen based on your specific needs and are designed to work synergistically to support your body’s healing processes.

NATUROPATHY FAQs

For your initial appointment, your naturopath must have all the information to assess your needs and curate an accurate treatment plan. Make sure to bring any documentation of previous and current conditions, such as any recent blood test and/or scans and a list of any medications or supplements you are currently taking.

Your first consultation with a naturopath will generally go for 45 minutes. This time is so that your naturopath can discuss your needs, understand your current health issues, and begin organising any relevant tests to evaluate the root of your concerns.

Naturopathy is no longer covered by private health insurance. This has been the case since health insurance reforms in Australia, in 2019.

We utilise our extensive clinical experience and in clinic testing, such as live blood analysis, bio-impedance testing, iridology and if required refer out for functional pathology testing, microbiome testing or Hair Tissue Analysis, to evaluate your health issues accurately and develop a specific treatment plan just for you.

Naturopathy can involve different treatments, which can include herbal medicine, homeopathy, nutritional medicine, diet and lifestyle advice, or body work such as cranial-sacral therapy or Marma therapy to focus on improving your health and wellbeing. We also highly value the impact of counselling and lifestyle advice to treat core mental health concerns like anxiety and depression.

Naturopathy is about using natural medicines and food to help your body improve its natural health.
